GOAL
EDUCATION TO THE CHILDREN
We believe that education is every child's right. Learning and education lead to creativity, ambition, and dreams. More over to create a healthier, more caring, and more productive global society. We believe that children's future can be secure only when the children are insulated from exploitation, violence, abuse, and neglect. A safe environment provides children with the opportunity to participate fully in their communities, to exercise their skills and talents, and to pursue their dreams. Access to education has a positive impact on a host of social problems afflicting marginalized children.

Children who attend school are more likely to develop a positive self-image and higher self-esteem and to set goals for the future. In India most of families living on less than $40 a month , people live hand –to-mouth, utterly depend on each day's wages. In this environment of pervasive poverty, it's not unusual to see children as young as four or five working long hours under the broiling Indian sun, hauling bricks, harvesting crops, or herding animals. This pattern of gruelling child labour has existed out of necessity for generations, and will continue into the future unless something is done to help these children break the cycle of bleak subsistence.

Like all parents everyone wants a brighter future for their children. If given the chance, these honourable people would happily send their children to school. But in this remote area of Andhra Pradesh, schools are few and far. Even for those who live near enough to a school, the required fees for uniforms, books and supplies are too high. When people are barely making enough to feed their children, how can they spare any money for school fees?

Intimately familiar with the unique challenges and needs in the India, LISA has been working to bring free, quality education to the children. Before any funds were available, as more and more people have opened their hearts and given their support to LISA's vision of providing free education, the LISA Education programme has grown & blossoming like a beautiful desert flower. In the Year 2008-09 LISA Provided education for 13 Poor Children.
MEDICAL CAMPS
In India only 0.9% of its GDP is spent on health care and it has not been given the degree of priority it deserves & hence it comes as no surprise when statistics show that every second child in our country suffers from malnutrition.

We at LISA firmly believe that a healthy mind & body are an absolute necessity for development of individuals. While the former is taken care by providing education to the needy & meritorious children, we have proposed to conduct Free Medical Camps to take care of the latter. In the year 2008-09, a pilot project was organized by LISA wherein one medical camp were conducted in aid of around 250 physically challenged people in the slum area at Jeedimetla in Hyderabad. Around 300 people attended the second camp, which was conducted at Bapatla. Four Eye operations were conducted in the above camps apart from taking care of basic health needs. In addition to this, LISA had also conducted a blood donation camp with the help of Red Cross Society at St.Peters Engineering College. This year too LISA proposes to provide an impetus to the above cause by organizing more Medical camps in rural areas at various districts in Andhra Pradesh.
SELF EMPLOYMENT
India is one of the developing nations, which is plagued by problem of population explosion, which in turns leads to poverty & unemployment. Over 50% of our population is poor of which over 200 million live in extreme poverty wherein earning for 2 meals a day is a Herculean task for them.

As the old adage goes “SELF HELP IS THE BEST HELP”, LISA too has adopted this motto as a part of their current year goals. It has decided to empower the needy & unemployed people by providing them training & resources which would enable them to be self sufficient and independent. The projects for execution will be selected after assessment & analysis of various parameters .viz skill sets of people, resources allocated for the project & geographical locations suitable to launch the project.
